Board Certification: Major Rawlins scored in the top 10% on his Internal Medicine board examination and was selected 2012- 2013 USAF Senior Resident of the Year for Brook Army Medical Center.

Current Practice Location: The 81st Medical Group, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.Ìý One of two pulmonary and critical care medicine physicians at the Air Force’s second largest medical center.Ìý He serves as medical director for the critical care unit, simulation lab, and respiratory therapy services at Keesler Medical Center, and is core clinical faculty for resident physicians in the Keesler Internal MedicineÌýResidency. Operationally, he serves as a CCATT (Critical Care Aeromedical Transport Team) medical director and physician team lead, leading a three person whose missions involve the evacuation of severely ill or wounded warriors on a variety of airframes.

Other: Major Rawlins was deployed in July 2017 for 191 days to Southwest Asia in support of Operations Freedom Sentinel and Inherent Resolve. He earned two achievement medals during 58 hours of mission airtime on the C17 and C130 airframes. He has deployed on 15 temporary duty assignments spending more than 377 days away from home and family.

Major Rawlins maintains currency in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and Critical Care Aeromedical Transport Team. Major Rawlins received an Internal Medicine Teaching Award in 2018 and was selected as the Air Education and Training Command Field Grade Officer of the Year in 2018.

He is supported by his wife of 14 years, Alison, who teaches World History and expertly manages their three successful children when Major Rawlins is called upon for his many hours of patient care and military service.
