Research Interests
My research interests include cancer cell and molecular biology, particularly related to the pathogenesis of pediatric renal tumors, lung cancers, mesothelioma, and occupational lung disease. In addition, I am interested in the evaluation of various biomarkers with therapeutic and prognostic significance in oncology. My research experience includes the use of a variety of cell and molecular biological techniques including primary cell culture of human tumors and xenografted tumors, immunohistochemistry, transmission electron microscopy, fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) and other cytogenetic techniques, and flow cytometry. Other research interests include forensic pathology and related sciences, medical microbiology, parasitology, urologic pathology, undergraduate and graduation education in pathology, and medical humanities.
