The Icahn School of Medicine’s Visiting Electives Program for Students Underrepresented in Medicine (VEPSUM) Fellowship,Ìýsponsored by the Center for Multicultural and Community Affairs. ÌýVEPSUM Fellowship offers four-week electives at The Mount Sinai Health System to a limited number of qualified 4th-year medical students who attend United States accredited medical schools, and who are from groups underrepresented in medicine.Ìý
AACOM’s 2021 Sherry R. Arnstein Student Scholarship
This award recognizes richly diverse populations of students attending one of the member colleges of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine.ÌýEach year AACOM awards a financial scholarship to at least two osteopathic medical students: one newly accepted student and one continuing student. This scholarship is named after former AACOM Executive Director Sherry R. Arnstein.

The University of Michigan Medical School/Michigan Medicine is pleased to offer ourÌýHealth Equity Visiting Clerkship. This is a 4-week experience sponsored by the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion at Michigan Medicine for senior students. The aim of the clerkship is to develop leadership skills to advance diversity, health equity, and inclusion.ÌýThe Office for Health Equity and Inclusion leads efforts, advises on best practices, and coordinates initiatives to enhance inclusion, increase diversity, and promote equity across the institution for our patients, staff, faculty and learners. Participating students will receive a $1500 stipend.
